last month i returned to ireland, bringing with me a new sense of minimalism/anti-hoarding [moving three times in less than two years will do that to you]. so, i went through all my stuff here. a lot of things got purged. but a few things had to be kept.
this included a whole bunch of handwritten lyrics and notes for guitar parts.
it was interesting to look at them. aside from the nostalgia factor, you could see how lyrics evolved: pronouns would switch or tenses would change and it put a whole different spin on things.
about half of those songs can be found on these two compilations.
the rest are pretty much unlistenable, but if anyone’s masochistically curious enough, let me know and i’ll send ‘em on.
