celeste presents: people person paper dolls!

the ever-fantastic celeste broderick has bowled me over by creating something very very special: a paper doll set to accompany my new album. it’s me with a costume for each song on the album – along with a bonus celeste costume!

i will also have some copies to give away at the organ-za show on december 4.

man, i feel really honoured/flattered to have such talented folk contribute visual complements to my stuff -
see also: peter stringer’s circuit board wizardry, jeremy mullins’s mad drawing skills and andrew morris’s incredible photographic companion to i am doing this to hurt you.

like i’m that shy, no no no no no, just give it up

last night, i played a short acoustic set supporting the exceedingly talented jindalee lehmann at jimo café in hiroshima. i think my performance was decent enough – i managed to only screw up a couple of songs! also playing was darren carter, who ended his set with a great cover of joanna newsom’s ‘clam, crab, cockle, cowrie’.

big thanks to laura graham for organizing the event AND for accompanying me on glockenspiel for my last song.

the evening was in aid of PEPY, for which we managed to raise a tidy sum – big thanks to all who came!

i will be playing my final show in japan at organ-za at hiroshima on december 4. facebook event page here. please come if you’re in the area…
